Only Believe

When all the friends of Jairus were telling him that his daughter was dead, don’t bother the Teacher, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.” (Mk. 5:36)

Our Refuge

Mary, Mother of Jesus, has many titles, one of which is “Sweet Refuge”. We look to her as our safe place between earth and heaven, our sure link to her Son.

Symbiosis

Asian Bouquet

This lovely bouquet was handed to a Vietnamese Dominican Sister on the day of her profession of Perpetual Vows. The wrap was a kind of plastic-like paper that could hold the moisture of the flowers quite well, but of course, I was fascinated with the folds.

Winter Fairyland

Great Eagle

Here is the finished product of previous sketch. Something about this noble face drew me in. I found him in historic photos of black and white. I do not know his real name.

Great Eagle Beginnings

Motor Girl

For the time being I may have gotten some of Ngyuen Thanh Binh out of my system. I do aspire to his kind of essence in oil paint.

Bird Girl

After the simplicity of Nguyen Thanh Binh. The previous post has the explanation for these last two paintings.
