Birthday

16×20″ oil paint on stretched canvas; one in a series of 6 celebration paintings destined for the entrance way to a banquet hall.

My last few months of painting daily have largely been on a project for a restaurant’s lobby to a large banquet hall. The owner asked for certain colors and for specific celebrations. I think I am near finished with “Birthday”. Each of the six paintings will carry the same basic colors and tones as requested. The photo does not pick up all the richness and clarity, even though I tried a couple of different photo shoots for it, but you can see the main effort.
