Glass With Lemon

approx. 7.5×9″ oil on gessoed canvas paper; contact the artist for purchase information.
This is a simple study of glass, and how the reflections of the aqua paper danced within it. Glass is wonderful to paint, because, if transparent, it adds interest to a scene without introducing new color. I approach it from locating the gray darks first, and then finding all the lights, and suddenly, glass appears.
