The incident of Jesus telling his disciples to let the little children come to him, appears in each of the synoptic gospels. It must have impressed all the adults. Jesus had been teaching and traveling, was no doubt tired, and probably there were many mothers wanting Jesus to touch or to meet their children. When there was a press upon Him, the disciples tried to keep them back, and Jesus’ response was: “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”(Mk. 10: 14)

I enjoy your art work so much, thank you for your blog. Your subjects are always so inspiring, especially Let the Children Come. I am an artist also and I paint with oils and enjoy painting en Plein air where I try to paint God’s beautiful art work. I admire you for painting every day, something I struggle to do, but so far haven’t been very successful.

Thank you, Joyce, for your kind and encouraging message. I am so happy to know that I have a fellow struggler in the painting pursuit. Please keep it up; it is so worth the effort…whenever you can get to it. That unique expression belongs to you alone.
