In the days before Christmas, my mother would always put up the nativity set in our home. She had a few figurines that we had for many, many years. Often when she was not around, my brothers would slip in another small figure that she had, the little China man, and he also would be looking on at the manger. It always made us smile. I do not know his story, where he came from, but I am the happy caretaker now. His left hand is really gone, and so is his nose, but he brings back memories of all kinds. I added the Chinese character for “wisdom” which he suggests to me.

Should be your Christmas card this year.

Sister, I would love to purchase a print of the Wise man…especially if it comes with the figurine!

If it means as much to you as to me, Paul, I will save the painting and the figure just for you! He needs a home!
