I am Sister Maresa Lilley, a member of the Sisters of Notre Dame, located in Chardon, Ohio, USA. For many years, I have enjoyed a passion that permits me to reflect upon simple reality with a brush in hand. To capture a simple essence on canvas and to discover inherent beauty is a daily immersion.

The subject ” Posies”presents itself in a serene and meditative way. The simplicity of the arrangement allows us to focus upon the size, color and shadowing of the flowers. They come together in a circular position and our eyes rests in the center where the largest of the flowers is surround by ten companion flowers, three purple and two white. They give a lovely flowing balance to this production.The transparent quality of the vase with the presence of stems contributes softly to the scene so that it does not dominant. This is a beautiful and calming picture. God bless!
