I painted this angel from a photo of sculpture. I am drawn most often to the lines and planes that carved images present. Of course, I take a few of my own liberties like the ball of light. The statue had lost its arms over time.

    1. Thank you very much, Sue. I am certain that angels totally escape our human renderings, but painted symbols can lift our souls to wonder about them, no? So I keep reaching with my brush.
