Number 10

This is a special request for a star player’s Birthday. Hope he likes it!

Soup

Mmmmmm…savory.

For the Ages

Enticed by a beautiful free photo on Pixabay, I decided to render it in paint. From an art point of view, I think line designs add so much interest.

Daisy Duck

The wet eye caught the light; it is actually bolder in the painting and watching you.

Hockey Kids

This is a work still in process; the bright reds will have to go in order to please a customer’s requests…all part of the painting adventures.

Veiltails

The rich reddish orange never gets captured digitally, but it is in the actual painting. My father kept a fish tank for us when we were small children. Perhaps that is behind the draw these golden creatures have on me.

Overview

The gull activity at the beach never disturbs me; I could watch it endlessly. These are coming in for snacks in the shallows no doubt. I still have to do some clean up and refinements on this work.

Brother Sparrow

St. Francis, often a statue feature of many gardens, is remembered for his joy in all creatures of earth. To him, they were all his brothers and sisters. I used a painting knife to drag on the last layers of paint for a rough, stoney look.

5712

I was asked to paint the home of my nephew and his wife. Though not quite finished, I sent this image for their approval. I still have to give the birch tree some foliage, and I am still refining the requested bunny.
