Earlier in the year, I was asked to paint this pair of pals as a potential wedding anniversary gift. The woman whose name I never learned was fond of her hiking partner Duke, now deceased, so her husband commissioned me to produce this image from his photo. The anniversary is now past so, alas, I am revealing.

Thank you, Sister Melannie…yes, a very loving and thoughtful husband. He hid this painting in his son’s apartment until the big reveal.
