Italian Bistro Series: Olive Oil (before calligraphy)

You might guess that I ordinarily have several  paintings going at once. So among other works, I began a series of simple, bold paintings all on an Italian foods theme. I am uniting the paintings by color, composition, and style. So here, I dare to reveal the near finish of  “Olive Oil,” which will still be brightened with highlights. In the final stage, I will add line design, or what I call “calligraphy,” to the main elements. You will see tomorrow how the addition will change the character of the painting to one with hopefully more charm!
