Florals with a bit of drama always call to me. There is something about putting them into paint that is hard to resist.

Sunflowers in Formal Vase

Which is the star of the show, the lovely vase or the playful sunflowers? I couldn’t quite resolve this…is it apparent?

Ladybugs!

I had three of these stretched canvases that seemed to desire something different from me. Line designs and punches of color are what they got!

This one is painted just for the love of the dance…” the language of the soul.” I have also noticed how black and white designs are prominent in new homes these days.

Raggedy Ann and Andy

Before I could read the words in a story book, I read the pictures of the antics of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Around the age of 4, when I was sick with the chicken pox or measles, my Mom gave me the book to number the pages….I think I got to page 23.
