I finished a dozen of these small butterfly paintings, and will probably try for another 12. They are attractive small images to hang on the wall almost anywhere. I have painted the sides of the panel and kept them unframed. The magnificent color of the real butterfly wing is created by patterns of millions of microscopic scales overlapping in delicate layers.
