Rear Guard

“The God of Israel will protect you from behind.” (Is. 52:12)

By Paths Unknown

“I will lead them in paths that they have not known… ” (Is. 42:16)

Aspirations

At age five, I watched a black and white tv rendition of “The Nutcracker”, and was sure that I wanted to be a ballerina.

Sweethearts

Candy hearts spilling from a glass jar…takes me back to childhood treats…when candy was a penny!

Frilly Hydrangea

Hydrangea is always fascinating to render. This time I went “freestyle”, and the actual painting is a bit richer in color.

Clown Fish

At home in anemones, Clown Fish color the ocean floors. I could not come up with anything like a clever title for this one.

My Own

Jesus, Good Shepherd, is familiar with His own.

Roses on Drape

8 x 6″ oil paiint on canvas sheet. More drape practice. Except for the roses, this one was painted from a photo. The previous post was painted from life. Life is always better!

Aqua Vase on Drape

8 x 6″ oil paint on canvas sheet The vase and white drape I have in my workspace. I am intrigued by the “landscape” created by a pile of cloth, so I practice rendering it from time to time.
