Lush Simplicity

Sometimes simple has a lot to say. This piece was a demo on how to let the toned board show through top layers of paint. It is a style and a technique of many impressionist painters.

Pears a’Plenty

Rarely do I paint any scene twice, but this image from free photos on Pixabay still attracts me. Though slightly different from my earlier work, I had the same joy of of the casual rest of each pear and the bold stems and leaves.

Luscious grapes from vine to table. I was drawn to this free photo by the contrast of “jungle” background with purple grapes. I added the white table cloth in place of the brown log of the photo.
