If you have been following, you may remember that I received a special commission to paint a fictional saint for a Catholic film maker. This is “Emily” who is a mystic and a stigmatist. Above shows the last stages of my painting before adding a wound on the hand, a scar over her right eye, a Mallen streak in her hair, a crown of thorns, a soft blue halo, (and lots of finessing)… all details required for the story. August 4 I will post the final approved painting with all the details. (If you scroll back about 8 posts, you will see my first mention of this project). I was able to work from an excellent photo of the actress who will play Emily. She is lovely!
