As explained in the earlier posts, I was taken with this way of memorializing a life… this time, it is a place setting for a noblewoman of France, Francoise Blin de Bourdon. She became the friend and companion foundress with St. Julie Billiart in the beginning of the Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame of Namur. In contrast to Julie, she was a highly educated member of the aristocrats of France in the late 1700’s. This painting will be the complement to the previous one for St. Julie. Now it is only half finished.
