Lamb 6

Of the many reasons to love lambs, one is for the wool they provide. A full grown sheep can produce 8 pounds of wool in one year. People have been spinning wool since 3500 BC, and today, in the arctic vortex that gripped most of the country including our heating system, I was so happy to have as my top layer, a smart, woolen jacket…a gift for me from ewe.

6×12″ oil paint on gessoed canvas paper; contact the artist for purchase information.
