December 31 marks the end of a year on the eve of a new one. The Catholic Church celebrates also with a Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God on January 1. Her yes brought us the birth of Jesus, the Incarnate Word, so we honor her unique role in God’s plan. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.
