Petite Poppies

After a complicated piece, it is fun to do an easy and free sketch like the poppies above. This was from imagination, and I will probably do more to touch them up a bit, but after “Breakfast Nook” it was a way to rest the painting brain. Poppies are so inviting a subject with their dark centers and uncomplicated structure.
