In the old Christmas hymn “Gesu Bambino” by Pietro Yon , we sing, “When blossoms flowered mid the snow…” and so, though it be bleakest winter, the coming of the Savior brings vibrant Spring to every land and nation. I could not resist painting the little bit of Springtime that dressed our tables in the week before the 25th.
