Planning the Space

I am beginning another “Our Lady of La Vang”, and this is the groping for use of space that I do when I begin a painting. I may do a little color testing in early stages, and ahead are many, many, many corrective strokes till the final. I often spread thin golden paint over a fresh white canvas, because it can glow through parts of the work in the end. Hopefully, after much paint pushing, I will have the end result to show.
