I have been asked to paint a portrait of a fictional saint for a film. From the photo of the actress I created these ‘maps’ for a 9 x 12″ image. My purpose is just to show the use of space and to incorporate the details I am asked to show. The film maker choose the larger head size shown above. He would also like me to depart from the photo more and show looser hair — my preference too. Miles to go…
