Road to Snowplace (First Half)

9×12″ oil paint on canvas panel; in process
I am fortunate to be able to watch winter out my 3rd floor window as I work. This is one scene that, because of the red stop sign, I wanted to put into paint. But the many other parked cars and distracting elements usually dissuaded me. When the new snow and red spot caught my eye again, I did the scene with great simplification and no cars. This is the first half only.
This is very good. I’d like to see it when it is finished. I’ve spent some time admiring your beautiful paintings. I wish I had time to comment on each. “The Presentation” is particularly excellent and should be used as a Christmas card.
Thank you for sharing your talents.
God bless you.
Thank you, Victor, for your kinds comments. I really appreciate them. Today I posted the nearly finished painting of “Snowplace”
