Starling Rest Stop

6 x 8″ oil paint on canvas sheet; use ‘comment’ below to inquire.

Several years back, a flock of fledglings rested in the wintery tree outside my window. I took several pictures stunned by their dotted patterns at the tips of their feathers. They were puffed out in almost perfect balls against the cold. I painted them once, and even though I may be using the same photo out of the group, I just had to paint them again. Wonder reawakened.
