By the Name of Mary

We sometimes forget that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, was so like us in so many ways. Swallowed up in the human condition, she too had hardship and uncertainty stretching her faith into an unknown future. She was at one time just a girl who generously gave her yes.

Joy to the World

From a free photo I transformed the images into toddler Jesus and Mary whose life at that time had to be full of joy.

Mary, Light of Christians

December 31 marks the end of a year on the eve of a new one. The Catholic Church celebrates also with a Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God on January 1. Her yes brought us the birth of Jesus, the Incarnate Word, so we honor her unique role in God’s plan. Holy Mary, Mother […]

Heart of Darkness

Our Refuge

Mary, Mother of Jesus, has many titles, one of which is “Sweet Refuge”. We look to her as our safe place between earth and heaven, our sure link to her Son.

Child of Light

While the world celebrates New Year’s Day, on January 1 in the Catholic Church, the Solemnity of the Mother of God is also celebrated. Mary’s yes brought Light to the world.
